About Me
I'm Harley Drake, a 29-year-old with a B.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon. Reading, gardening, and being outdoors are my greatest passions, alongside my faithful companion, Yogi (pictured right).
My interest in limited space urban gardening developed as housing prices and food costs were at an all time high. I knew having access to green space was limited living in a overpriced suburb, so I decided to see how much of my own food I could grow with what space I had.
I am eager to share both the failures and successes I encounter along the way. I hope my transparency will show others that thriving gardens can be cultivated even in constrained environments.
When I'm not tending to my green oasis, you'll find me spending time with my family and traveling with my partner of four years. I have a genuine love for the environment and a desire to create a greener, healthier, and more sustainable world. Happy Growing,
